A little cat who's fallen asleep awakes to see a candle lit before him and finds himself in wonder of it's wavering light. The painting also is symbolic of our own times of wonderment in life regarding the world that came before us as the antiquated books hint at.
About Barbara Barber
Originally I painted under my maiden name and signed Clements for many years to my work. I married several years ago and my married name is Barber. However I sign as Clements to honor my father and mother who loved my art and encouraged me to paint. Both encouraged me in art every step of the way. I am originally from Long Island. Long Island.. I now live in Arizona and love the landscape out here as well. Natural beauty is everywhere. The earth is lovely. I am a member of The International Guild of Realism and show in 9theGallery in Phoenix Az.
