Pueblo pottery is based on an Anasazi past, on the pottery of Chaco Canyon and its outliers. Archaeologists at Chaco have unearthed white or gray pottery with geometric designs painted in black, as well as gray pottery with a corrugated pattern and human effigy pieces.

Originally I painted under my maiden name and signed Clements for many years to my work. I married several years ago and my married name is Barber. However I sign as Clements to honor my father and mother who loved my art and encouraged me to paint. Both encouraged me in art every step of the way. I am originally from Long Island. Long Island.. I now live in Arizona and love the landscape out here as well. Natural beauty is everywhere. The earth is lovely.
